TEDx Location Discovered in Anacostia!

Last week on a trip out to Anacostia, George, Ian, and I met with Duane Gautier and Rasul Sha'ir at the ARCH business center where Duane works. We discussed some early logistics of the upcoming TEDx event about the creative economy, and are on the verge of finalizing a date in October.

Following our brief meeting, we all took a walk to scope out the venue Duane had for us and is willing to let us use for the TEDx event. It's a medium-sized warehouse with a small balcony on the second floor--PERFECT for our needs! It's just 2 blocks away from a metro stop and Duane also has a parking lot we should be able to set aside for event parking. Everything certainly went better than expected last Wednesday as everything seemed to fall into place flawlessly. It will be a fun time organizing the event in the coming months.

Look for more info re: the creative economy TEDx event later!
